In the evening we had a dinner at an expensive French restaurant. The food was typical French... crappy.. but it was a good night out with us and two of our instructors.
The next morning (Friday) was the last day of my 8 week Reservoir Monitoring and Control school. The total of 9 weeks which I spent in Paris disappeared very fast and now I am freeish for a few weeks before I go back to Baku.
On Friday we only had a half day of work; the Friday morning was spent having a short roundtable with a couple of managers. We discussed what we thought was good and bad about the course. My complaint was that the material we covered could have been done in 4 weeks instead of 8, this being due to a lack of instructors. I made accusations that the course was very poor value for money for the locations who paid us to be there; my criticism was acknowledged but they just said that the alternative was to cancel the course and that would be too difficult.
After lunch we were free to leave; the whole group made it back to the hotel to start packing up all their stuff. Unfortunately the person who ordered a taxi to pick us all up decided to only order one big enough for 8 people. Given there are 10 of us this really showed how smart some people are, end result was that myself an Ale had to get the train back or wait ages for another taxi. We chose the train option and stopped off at Disney world for Ale to buy some gifts for her relatives.
That night we spent packing and I woke up at 5am Saturday to get an 8am flight from Paris CDG to Southampton airport UK.
