Here are a few pics from Friday and the weekend. After doing the run in hole practical exercise on Thurs/Fri, pretty much everyone was feeling dead. As you can see from the pictures, there were some casualties in the base.
On satruday a few of us got free tickets to go to some science museum in Paris. A guy on the course knows some people and we got in. It is called something like "Cite des sciences de l'industrie". In the museum there were various exhibits from things ranging from nanotechnology to aliens; not exactly pure science. We spent a couple of hours walking around but the majority of the group wanted to leave after half an hour so it spoilt it. Next we went to some strange restaurant, maybe maroccan and ate some strange cous cous and chicken meal. Finally we finished off the day watching the film called "300" and then to a bar before going home. Sunday was spent arsing around in Paris doing not much. Saw another film, the last king of Scotland. It wasnt too good but could have been worse. Later we finished off the day with a meal in a Chinese restaurant. All in all, a moderate weekend. |
