Today we all went Karting (10 people from RMC class and the instructors). It took place between 4pm and 6pm, so on work time which was good :-) The event was obviously paid for by Schlumberger which made it just that bit better. The karting venue was the same as the one I went to during OFS-1, it was much less crowded this time because there were 10 people instead of 50. The karting started well and I was flying around the track, unfortunately, half way through it started raining and the track went extremely slippery. I was slipping everywhere and at one point got stuck in the mud at the side of the track and had to wait for someone to come and pull me out. At the end of it I placed in about the middle. Good fun though. A lot of the pictures from this trip seem a bit blurred; I think all the vibrations when I was on the kart have buggered my camera. I am now in the process of looking for a new one, perhaps a sony dsc t-100. |
