18-10-2006 _ Baku, Azerbaijan _ Moved to the SLB Staff House

Today I went to a medical to confirm I am fit to do offshore survival training. After waiting around for the appointment and taking the tests, it was three hours later. On the way back I witnessed the blatant disregard for traffic laws displayed by every car on the road. Red lights and pedestrians in the road seem to be a sign to speed up.

Once at work I did some training and then just before I was going to leave, I was told that I was moving out of Crescent beach hotel and into a company staff house. Once out of work I rushed to the Crescent beach gym and then packed my stuff ready to move. At around eight pm I was picked up and taken out to dinner with a few managers (free food), then at about 11pm I arrived at the staff house and went to bed.

Below are some pictures of the place which I am sharing with four other guys. Although at the moment it is only three because one is offshore on a rig.
