Grangemouth Refinary - Scotland
Just a short message here. In total I've been up to Edinburgh three times now to get more involved in the pipeline project up there. I have just got very slack in updating my gallery page recently so there are all sorts of gaps. At the Grangemouth Refinery site we have a significant quantity of buried fiber optic cable, we use this and a surface unit to demonstrate our capability to detect and classify seismic events along with other features. The cable was installed some time ago and I have been up a few times to check that all is working well, collect some sample data and finally prepare the site for visiting clients. Reps from various oilfield companies have been coming to the site to see what our system has to offer for pipeline integrity. The pics below are just a couple of the refinery site from where our kit is located. The site is very huge and you can only see a small part of it from these pictures. |
