12-02-2007 _ Paris, France _ Monmartre, Moulin Rouge, Paris Opera House
|
Today Chum and I went to a few places in Paris. Chum is an RMC FE from Labaun in Malaysia. We started off by going to Monmartre which involved alot of time on the metro and walking up a big hill. I took quite a few pictures from outside of the catherdral but only one inside. I tried to take more inside but some people demanded that I put my camera away because its not allowed. They just want people to buy more things from inside their giftshop
Monmartre On our travels we also popped into the Paris opera house as Chum wanted to see what was going on. He picked up a program and maybe wants to go there for a show. Paris Opera House The next stop was Moulin Rouge. We checked out the prices and it costs around 150 euro for a meal and a show, we may go later but it will take some planning to buy the tickets and organise the group. On the way back Chum wanted to visit a few 'shops' so we had a quick look around to see what was going. As it started to get darker and darker, all the crazy people appeared. Outside nearly every place there were people trying to pull you inside to watch a show. They were offering things like 5 Euro entry and a free drink of your choice, but in reality they want to get you inside and bully hundreds of Euros out of you. Moulin Rouge We then finished up the night by going to China town and having a meal there. The food was very very strange, mainly because Chum chose it :-) |
