After five hours on the plane stuck next to an extreme fatty I was back in Baku. The extreme fat guy in question was unable to stand up without help and needed a special seatbelt on the plane, yet BA thought it was safe to let him come onboard in economy. I estimate his bodyweight to be around 25 stone and his fat was spilling over into the isle and into my seat. Not the best time I have had on a plane !
On arrival in Baku I was met by a driver at the airport and taken to my apartment. This was much better than my last experience of flying into Baku when Turkish airlines lost my bag and no driver showed up. I got back to my apartment at about 3am, went to bed and woke up at 10am, called for a driver and was picked up and taken to work at 11am. I would have got the late bus into work at 8:20am but I decided that it would be far too much effort. On the plane the pilot announced that there had been one foot of snow in Baku a couple of days ago. Unfortunately most of it was gone by the time I arrived but I did take a few pictures of the remnants outside my appartment. |
